During these uncertain times my safety and my client’s safety is my primary concern. I am fully vaccinated and boosted. If clients request I wear a mask during prenatal and postpartum visits, I am happy to do so. Most hospitals require proof of vaccination upon joining birthing families and also require me to wear a mask for the duration of labor.

If I am hired as a birth doula, and test positive at the time of baby’s birth, I will ensure the family has a great back-up doula. If either my client or their partner/husband test positive at the time of birth, most Los Angeles hospitals only allow one support person. I the case that I may not join the family, I am available to support virtually either via zoom/facetime/phone. If my support is virtual, this is obviously the same as being present in the room, but I make every effort to make the experience memorable. I do still require the balance of my fee which is due after the baby is born.

COVID Policy

These times are incredibly challenging but should not prevent pregnant people from benefitting from working with a doula or birthing staff. I will work with you to determine if our meetings should be virtual or in person, all based on our mutual comfort levels. If your birthing center allows doulas, then I will happily be present at every step of the way. I am fully vaccinated, and received a booster shot.
