I am a childbirth educator (ICEA),a labor support doula (DONA), a labor doula trainer (DONA) a lactation
consultant (IBCLC), and a certified educator of infant massage (CEIM).
ICEA's Motto is: "Freedom of Choice Based on Knowledge of Alternatives". I provide "information, guidance,
and stay current on national as well as international maternity care practices.
In California, I have attended births at UCLA Santa Monica, UCLA Ronald Reagan (Westwood), St Johns Health
Center, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, Little Company of Mary, Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles, Huntington
Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills, California Hospital, Los Robles Medical Center and Valley
Presbyterian Hospital.
In the New York area, I have attended births at Neugarten Birth Center (Rhinebeck), Columbia Memorial
Hospital (Hudson), Hudson Valley Hospital (Cortland Manor), Roosevelt Hospital now Mount Sinai West (NYC),
St Vincent's Hospital (NYC), Einstein Hospital (Bronx), Long Island College Hospital (Brooklyn), and
The Hartford Hospital (Hartford, CT), Vassar Hospital in Poughkeepsie, Kingston Hospital (Kingston),
Keller Hospital, (West Point), and Orange Regional Medical Center (Middletown).
I attend home births as well.
I am a Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and offer in-home breastfeeding consultations and follow-up.
As a certified childbirth educator, I teach private in-home childbirth preparation, baby care and breastfeeding classes. I have taught childbirth preparation at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County, CA, at Orange Coast Memorial in Fountain Valley, CA and at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. I believe that every woman should have access to labor support and prenatal education.
In California, I was the volunteer doula and childbirth educator at a maternity home in Venice, from 2005 until 2013.
In New York, I volunteer my doula services to New York Healthy Families of Dutchess County.
